HUGE BUILDING UPDATE

Okay, this is my first update in a LONG time so, it might be brief or long!

Okay, so after the shape was cut we had to make a templates for the cavities

Then we had to cut the cavities which took a long time (sorry i dont have a picture of this one)

Then we had to sand the cavities and drill all the holes then sand the body
Then touching up the holes
Then we painted it black and started shielding the cavities with metal tape.
Once we it was all shielded we started screwing things down and soldering wires and getting confused.
So thats when I left of and the guitar should be done next week
See ya later!

Building Update

THURSDAY:
first we went to Hayward Lumberyard and got a 10ft piece of alder. Then we headed over to Hans's house and started cutting the wood into pieces a little over half the width of the guitar. Once 4 pieces were cut we went to inspect them and found a non-superficial crack in one of the pieces so we cut another piece. once we had that done we trimmed one of the sides of each piece. then we sanded it ALLOT. after sanding the sides down then we glued them together then let them sit overnight.

FRIDAY:
on friday I went to my dad's friend Hans' house. Hans is a master luthier that makes mostly classical guitars but he has made electric guitars before and knows what he's doing. first we had to make a modification to the sander because the pieces of wood wouldn't fit. after that quick modification we started working immediately. first we sanded one of the pieces of wood. about half way through the sanding of the first piece the sandpaper that was glued came of a bit so we fixed it with some double sided tape. the tape held through the the rest of the first piece of wood but once it came to the second the machine broke again and couldn't be fixed quickly so we used the first piece of wood. we put the wood on the table and started to plan out the shaping of the body. once we had it all drawn on the wood in pencil we started cutting the shape. once we had the shape cut we sanded it so much it was kinda hard to believe. then i went home and i am still awaiting the next time we can work on it more.

I am making a pedal board for my pedals and that kind of stuff I'll make a page of the things you need and how to make it. I only have 4 pedals so the power is pretty easy to get right. I have these pedals:

2. BOSS Fuzz
3. BOSS Metal Zone
4. BOSS Overdrive/Distortion
